April 9, 2006 - Wildflower Hike
| Well, finally, it came time for this year's wildflower hike into Collins Gulf. Expedition leader was once again Mary Priestly. We had 36 people show up this year. People came from Monteagle, Sewanee, Signal Mountain, Lookout Mountain, and Nashville. I think I was the only local. Big surprise. | |

| This year the creek was again flowing more than normal, due to recent rain. Mary asked me to lead everyone behind Suter Falls, which is by far the safest route when the water is high. | |

| We slowly made our way down the Collins Gulf Trail, dropping about 600 feet in elevation. | |
