Keith Tate is the man I hold responsible for getting me started in music.
Performing at a talent show at Whitwell High School. We won first place. (left to right) Eric Dempsey - Piano, Mike French - Lead Guitar, Scott Hooper - Vocals, Guitar, Ricky Grooms - Drums, Micheal Hooper - Bass Guitar. This was my second public performance. We performed 'Stand By Me" and "Bad To The Bone". The day before, we performed for Crossroads Elementary School.

1981 Gold Buick Skylark - A great little car till I fell asleep behind the wheel and destroyed it.
I fell asleep coming home from work. My car took a scary path through a yard and missed every maple tree. Did damage to a telephone pole and destroyed a mailbox.
Dad spent quite amount of time here. This was tuff work!!
Dad had a collection of Farmall's
I worked here for almost five years
I've always liked this picture and this place. It was a pretty good hike to get to. This is a mile or so downstream from the Chimney's in Chimney Park.
Me and Mike played music all night at a Youth event at the YMCA
Check out the gas prices! You couldn't get from Whitwell to Crossroads unless you where a real daredevil. I remember having to go over Signal Mountain to get to work.
First Baptist Church of Gruetli-Laager's float for the parade. I can remember everybody working on this float at Ric'n'Vic's.
What a beautiful truck.
Shannon graduating from Motlow
First Baptist Church of Whitwell
Won't ever forget this. The most snow we have ever seen. This is in Mom and Dads backyard.
We had three huge pines in the front yard. If you look close, you can see that we have the pine tree on the right chained to a Spruce and a Dogwood to keep the wind from blowing it over. It was scary!
In this photo, you can see that the stovepipe has fallen down. We had no heat or electricity for a good while.
Actually a few days after.
I remember the people that developed my pictures really bragged about this photo.
Shannon's 93 Nissan Sentra. It is 2009, and I drive this car to work every day. This used to be a really, really red car.
Shannon by her new car.
My last day at work at the store. I show up at work to see a banner reading "Goodbye Eric, We Will Miss You". I remember being shocked cause I had never seen this done before.
This was a blast, playing music right by the ocean. Shannon and myself are in this picture somewhere.
Youth Camp at Panama Beach Retreat in Panama City, Florida
Phillip and Sheila Cagle, Eric and Shannon
This was really neat. We all rented Seadoo's and went out to swim with and feed dolphins. I remember this being a very expensive venture, but it was a blast! There is nothing like driving a Seadoo over the waves of the ocean!
Johnny and Vivian
I have sunglasses on and I am bad!
Shannon and Eric
The first annual gathering at Johnny and Vivian's for Independence Day
Lake construction. In the background, you can see that the gazebo floor had just been completed.
Jamie, Dusty, Davy, and Johnnie. Just above Johnny, you can see a stick that Johnny set up to monitor the depth of the water. Today, 11 years later, the stick still stands.
On the dam: Vivian, Vicki, Rick, and Shannon
Davy and Jamie. Nothing unusual here!

Needless to say, we had a fortunate start
In the Smokies
The lake is full and you can see the work we have to do.
Shannon and I go out to check out the snow and Belle comes over to visit
I alway thought this was a neat photo that Shannon took of Vivian and Vicki
Another priceless shot of Davy
Our new dock is completed
An ice storm caused to have a 44 hour power outage and destroyed or damaged a lot of trees
Shannon and Jamie are out on Johnny's iced over lake.
Jamie finally falls through the ice
Dad's log truck. I think I used some of the lumber from this load to build our storage building
Annie is about one year old here. This swing, which we still use to this day, belonged to my grandmother, 'Moma Tate'.
Phase 2 of the deck building. Phase 3 would take out the screened-in porch
This became a very active place over the next several years.
Church hike to Savage Falls
Ric'n'Vic'n'boys
A great photo of my waterwheel upgrade
Our new Ford Explorer
I remember taking this photo of Johnny and Vivian's home because it was near 0 degrees outside.
Water is flowing under the ice. Temperature outside is near 0.
At the Jubilee Room
Phase 3 of the deck construction included a new Vita hot tub.
This is the road that leads to our home. We were stranded at home for most of the day while the waters receded and repairs where made
Cane Creek Falls
I'm proud of my Bose!
Darrel with a big catfish!
This was a neat project
I had my van for 11 years. I sure do miss it. It was a helpless feeling watching someone uncontrollably slide into your own lane.
A very successful project!
Yeah, hikin' up next to this scared me pretty good!
November 17, 2006 - Rock City Enchanted Garden of Lights
A very gifted young lady who I got to accompany for about three years back in the 90's
