Army Spc. 4 Marvin F. Phillips was 20 years old when his helicopter crashed in South Vietnam in 1966. Exactly 45 years to the day of the crash, Phillips’ remains were buried in his hometown in Palmer, Tenn., during a service on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. His remains were discovered last year in Vietnam and positively identified by the military. |
